Did you know that sunlight will help your baby sleep?

Open the curtains and let the light in.  You don’t have to leave your home, just make sure your newborn gets plenty of sunlight during the day.

Studies have shown that in order for the newborn to sleep soundly through the night, you should let him/her spend enough time in the sunlight during daytime. This is important especially for babies up to 3 months of age.

According to the Journal of Sleep Research, light helps young babies set their biological clocks, including their still-undeveloped sleep-wake cycles.

Don’t forget that for older children and parents sunlight is equally important.  It makes us more alert and less drowsy during the day.

In order to protect your newborn for the UV rays, place their crib close to a window.  Modern, high-quality windows will protect your child from the harsh UV rays. If it’s too hot or too cold for a stroll, open the blinds and let your child enjoy the light coming into your house!
